Notable Changes from the Previous Year
For the 2022 trims, the Uconnect 5 system is standard on the Big Horn and higher models. The platform now offers three times more memory and screen resolution with advanced connectivity. New exterior packages include the GT package, available on Laramie and Rebel trims.
Infotainment and Technology Features
The available infotainment system is a 5-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect 5 and six speakers. It supports Alexa in-vehicle assistance, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity. You can also choose the optional 12-inch display, standard on the Sport trim and higher. Another 3.5-inch in-cluster display with an optional 7-inch screen gives access to vehicle stats.
Exterior Design
The exterior of the 2022 Ram 1500 can be customised through different configurations to your personal preferences. Its front fascia features the famous Ram logo and it has automatic quad-halogen headlamps and incandescent tail lamps on the base models. Standard wheels are 18-inch steel wheels with an option for 18- or 20-inch aluminium wheels in many trims.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
The cabin is well-built, with comfortable front seats and plenty of room. High-end models feature upscale materials for the Ram to feel more luxurious. The reconfigurable centre console offers more convenience to stow folders or a 15-inch laptop. Available features include a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats and window defrosters.
Performance Features
A 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with eTorque is standard on the base model. It provides 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Optional engines include a 5.7-litre HEMI V8, the stunning 3.0-litre Ecodiesel V6 and an outstanding 6.2-litre Supercharged HEMI V8. The latter is standard on the TRX, and it offers a massive 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
With over 100 available safety features, the 2022 Ram 1500 keeps you safe on challenging terrains. The blind spot detection system makes lane changes more manageable and safer by alerting you about other vehicles.
