GM Canada Reports Q3 Sales Total Q3 sales up 12 per cent over Q3 2022 sales
Oshawa, Ont. – Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 69,788 vehicles in the third quarter of 2023, an increase of 12 per cent over Q3 2022 sales. As a result, GM is on track to continue leading the Canadian industry in total market share.
“With strong customer demand for our products, GM Canada and our dealers delivered solid results while maintaining a disciplined approach to incentives,” said Kristian Aquilina, vice president, GM Canada vehicle sales, service, and marketing. “Canadian customers are particularly excited about our newest vehicles, with the Chevrolet Trax, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Buick Encore GX all gaining momentum in the third quarter. With the addition of the all-new Buick Envista, which just started arriving in Canada, we expect to see sales of our crossovers grow in the fourth quarter.”
2023 Q3 Total Sales Highlights:
- Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trax posted the largest sales gains for the quarter, up 565 per cent and 1,326 per cent.
- Chevrolet sold a total of 4,086 all-electric Bolt EVs and Bolt EUVs, an increase of 31 per cent. Due to strong customer demand, GM is extending Bolt production.
- GMC Sierra sales rose 28 per cent as full-size truck demand remained strong.
- Buick Encore GX sales rose 51 per cent.
