GM Canada Sales up 16.5 per cent in Q2 and Remains the Market Share Leader Through First Half of 2024
Oshawa, Ont. – Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 77,445 vehicles in the second quarter of 2024, an increase of 16.5 per cent over Q2 2023 sales. GM Canada continues to lead total market share, for the first-half of the year with 140,548 units sold.
“It has been a strong start to the year for GM Canada as we continue our sales leadership through first half of 2024,” said Shane Peever, vice president of sales, service and marketing. “Our focus for the remainder of the year will be delivering an exceptional customer experience across our entire vehicle portfolio, and growing EV sales with choices in every segment.”
2024 Q2 Total Sales Highlights
- Small SUVs saw an increase of 354 per cent driven by Buick Envista
- Mid-size pickups saw an increase of 151 per cent driven by Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon
- EV sales saw an increase of 30.1 per cent, driven by Cadillac LYRIQ, Chevrolet Blazer EV and Chevrolet Equinox EV
