John's office may be tucked back in the service bays, but John's presence at the dealership is felt by all. Since January of 1975, John worked his way up over the years from a technician, service associate and is now holding a managerial role. John has done it all. With over five decades in the GM industry, his auto knowledge is a force to be reckoned with. He has been an active member of the GM Technical Guild Program for over 50 years. Born and raised in the Kawartha Lakes area, John grew up on a locally owned farm and still loves being part of that community. Though not currently residing on a farm, it's still in his blood; he loves anything to do with the agricultural sector. An avid gardener himself, John reduces his carbon footprint by producing and using his own compost. He shy's away from conventional fertilizers when working on his vegetable and flower gardens to pay respect to the environment. On July 21 2016 - we all had the honour to witness John Nicholson, as the very first recipient to receive a 50 years General Motors Technician Guild Award from the President and Managing Director of General Motors Canada - Steve Carlisle.
